Cookie policy

This site sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s local storage and session storage, which the law treats like cookies (“similar technologies”). Counting visits uses no storage at all. Everything optional is off until you choose Accept all or switch it on in Privacy choices.
The banner
When you first arrive you see two equal buttons: Accept essential keeps only what the site needs to run; Accept all also allows the optional items below. Nothing optional is set before you choose, the banner stays until you choose (scrolling or carrying on browsing is not consent), and your choice is remembered for 180 days. You can change it at any time with Privacy choices in the footer, which also lets you switch each optional item on or off separately.
Essential (always on, needed to run the site)
- zb-consent (local storage, 180 days): your privacy choice, so you are not asked again.
- Garage demonstration preferences (essential, local storage): the theme and sidebar choices you make inside the Garage Management System demo, so they persist while you explore it. Nothing else is stored by the demos.
- zb-reduced-motion (essential, session storage, until you close the tab): your choice if you press “Pause motion”, so the page stays calm as you move around. The quote assistant on this site does not save a draft of anything you type or tick.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (only when you reach the last step of the quote form): a short bot check that protects the form from spam. Cloudflare may store technical information needed to run the check; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Optional (off until you allow it)
- Help improve the site (insights): anonymous behaviour such as scroll depth, clicks and which pages you read. Kept 24 months.
- Recognise me when I return: zb-vid (local storage, 12 months from your last visit) is a random visitor id and a visit count; zb-visit (session storage, until you close the tab) marks the current visit. Used so returning visitors and automated visits can be told apart. An id not used for 12 months is deleted.
- Record my visit (Session replay): a replay of how you move around the page with everything you type hidden (kept 30 days) and click heatmaps (kept 90 days), seen only by Zach.
- Save my draft (Draft enquiry): no form on this site saves anything you type or tick, so this switch has no effect here; it belongs to the privacy panel that other ZB sites share.
Changing your mind
Use Privacy choices in the footer of any page; switching something off stops it immediately and removes what was stored on your device. To have data already collected deleted, email zach@zbautomations.ie. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, every optional switch starts off. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
